Web Designer & Developer

Eternity, located in Downtown Burlington, VT is looking for a fun new crew member to join our dynamic team. 

The role of Web Designer & Developer requires being passionate about always learning, a desire to help humans, love working with people and being an excellent problem-solver. We work with such clients as Ski Vermont, Brave Coffee, Vermont Surrogacy Network, Burlington Code Academy, Michael's on the Hill, Vermont Maple and many more.

We prefer candidates with experience in working from home, but ideally located in Vermont.

The Web Designer & Developer will be responsible for designing and developing websites for our clients, working along with our other designers, developers and content creators.

Ample onboarding and training will be provided directly by our Founder, Mike Lannen and our Senior Designer & Developer Rob Liberty.

Communication is key. You should love helping people and be great at talking with and responding to clients. You must be able to work collaboratively with and take direction from both clients and our crew.

While this position is remote for the foreseeable future, when deemed safe we will work again occasionally in our Burlington, Vermont HQ and will ideally want applicants to be located in Vermont. But we will still remain 90% remote and in office will be optional. However, it will never be required to work in our office.

Full-Time Position:

• 40 hours per week
• M-F; Flex work schedule available
• Remote work until deemed safe in-person (but still will remain 90% remote)
• Position available September 2022 (but flexible)

Outline of Training Provided:

• Learning how the MODX Content Management System is used to build our websites
• Learning fundamentals of SEO
• Trello, Slack and Google Drive

Day-to-Day Tasks Include:

• Sit in on project kickoff meetings to understand the goals of the client
  
• Collaborate with other crew members
  
• Designing web page layouts
• Programming layouts into the MODX Content Management System
• Collaborating with one of our Content & SEO Specialists

Responsibilities:

• Meetings with clients
• Project management
• Monitoring support tickets and assigning as necessary
• Identify refinements in our process to improve client satisfaction

Requirements:

• Ridiculously outstanding customer service

• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Friendly, lots of positive energy, very empathetic
• Expert listener
• Very organized
• Able to manage a large volume of projects efficiently

Ideal:

• Past experience in customer service
  
• Experience with Trello, Slack and Google Drive
• A love for design, usability and user experience
• A love of building systems and procedures
