Q+A with Danielle Hazelton

Do you collect anything? If so, what?
Fun mugs! Handmade ones, funky ones, weird ones you find at the thrift store.

What is your favorite quote?
“Sometimes there’s so much beauty in the world, I feel like I can’t take it, and my heart is just going to cave in.”

What is your favorite Vermont activity?
Kayaking on our beautiful lakes and ponds, or hiking through fall foliage to a beautiful mountain top.

Who is your favorite band?
This changes all the time! But there are always the classics that hold steadfast: Led Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac, Palace, Gregory Alan Isakov, My Morning Jacket, Rayland Baxter.

What is your favorite place that you have visited?
North Cascades National Park. The entirety of the Pacific Northwest holds a special place in my heart, but this place takes the cake. It’s one of the least visited National Parks in the continental United States, as it’s only open 4 months out of the year. It has some of the best hikes (and views) that I have ever experienced in my life. It was truly magical!

If you could have one super power, what would it be and why?
The ability to communicate with animals, because how cool would that be?! Being even more in touch with nature would be a blessing, to see the world from a new perspective, and would allow me to care for the world around me even better.
